Declutter the repository root so a first-time visitor immediately sees what each top-level entry is for, without breaking any GitHub-native behavior or internal links. - Move CONTRIBUTING.md and SECURITY.md into .github/ (GitHub still surfaces them in the Contribute banner and Security tab). - Fold benchmarks/ into docs/benchmarks/ (it is the raw data behind the validation chapter — it belongs next to the story it backs). - Rename submission/ -> ffmpeg-upstream/ so its purpose is obvious at a glance (it is the FFmpeg upstreaming material, not project source). - Fix every cross-reference accordingly (README, CREDITS, LICENSE, .gitignore, examples, PR template, and the moved files' own links). Root files: 8 -> 6. No source code touched, history preserved via git mv. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
