The release workflow was pushing version bump commits directly to main, which is blocked by the branch protection ruleset. Changed approach: create the git tag and GitHub Release first, then open a PR for the version bump in csproj. Co-authored-by: Copilot <223556219+Copilot@users.noreply.github.com>
