Both CLIs now accept a top-level `--version` that prints `<prog> <version> (python <x.y.z>)` and exits 0. The version is read from installed distribution metadata (importlib.metadata) so a pyproject bump propagates with no second hardcoded copy. - java_codebase_rag/_version.py: version_string(prog) helper (stdlib-only) - cli.py / jrag.py build_parser(): top-level --version (action="version") - tests/test_version_flag.py: exit 0, format, top-level-only contract jrag's lazy-import invariant is preserved (build_parser() still imports no torch / sentence_transformers / mcp_v2).
