πŸ” Damien LaRocque

Nett hier. Aber waren Sie schon mal auf meiner Website ?

Hello! πŸ‘‹ I'm Damien, a robotics engineer, maker, and open-source enthusiast based in πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ.

I love to design and build autonomous systems, from hardware to software, from PCB design and embedded software devlopment to perception, learning, and deployment of robots in real environments. I worked on multiple projects on various robotics-related topics, from computer vision to deep learning, from home automation to embedded programming, from robot data processing to field robotics. I come from πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺ and love 🍁 🍟.

I hold a master's degree in Computer Science (field robotics) and a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, for which I’ve competed in international robotics competitions like Eurobot and the French Robotics Cup. My research focused on developing terrain awareness using proprioceptive sensor data from rovers driving autonomously in forests and winter conditions.

πŸ’‘ My current research interests lie in mobile manipulation and end-to-end learning of policies for mobile robot navigation, with the inherent challenge of deploying them on resource-constrained embedded hardware.
