Statistical analysis of dependency between two qualitative variables using the Chi-squared test and calculating the strength of the relationship.
EN: The project is focused on processing a two-dimensional set of qualitative data in order to determine whether there is a mutual relationship between two monitored statistical features.
The basis was a table that summarized the distribution of the monitored categories. The method for testing the independence of qualitative data (Chi-square test) was used to verify the hypothesis. After demonstrating the dependence, we calculated the corresponding dependence coefficient to determine the strength of this relationship.
The analysis confirmed that the monitored features are not independent of each other, thus rejecting the null hypothesis. Finding: It was statistically proven that one monitored factor is related to the other monitored factor. Strength of the relationship: The calculated coefficient value showed that the detected dependence is moderately strong.
The project thus successfully demonstrated that the investigated factors influence each other.
SK: Projekt sa zameral na spracovanie dvojrozmerného súboru kvalitatívnych dát s cieľom zistiť, či medzi dvoma sledovanými štatistickými znakmi existuje vzájomný vzťah.
Základom spracovania bola tabuľka, ktorá zhrnula distribúciu sledovaných kategórií. Na overenie hypotézy bola použitá metóda pre testovanie nezávislosti kvalitatívnych dát (Chi-kvadrát test). Po preukázaní závislosti sme na určenie sily tohto vzťahu vypočítali príslušný koeficient závislosti.
Analýza potvrdila, že sledované znaky nie sú navzájom nezávislé, čím bola zamietnutá nulová hypotéza. Zistenie: Bolo štatisticky preukázané, že jeden sledovaný faktor má súvislosť s druhým sledovaným faktorom. Sila vzťahu: Vypočítaná hodnota koeficientu ukázala, že zistená závislosť je stredne silná.
Projekt tak úspešne preukázal, že skúmané faktory sa navzájom ovplyvňujú.
