Apologies for not having a chance to review this PR. Unfortunately, I still don't currently have the time to review it, though I hope to find time in the coming weeks.

I really appreciate you updating this, though!!!

Small note for any future PRs that you do on other projects. It looks like most of the changes in this PR are formatting-related (most likely due to auto-formatting being enabled). This isn't ideal for 2 reasons. 1 is that it makes merge conflicts more likely and harder to resolve, and 2 is that it also destroys some intentional formatting choices by the original author.

No, it built. I just had to do some debugging with all the mods I had enabled. Turns out the Polytone mod is the culprit behind the custom HUDs not rendering at all.
