User Features
Some small features are open and available for users to use as much as modders.
If you enable DevMode in the options of the game, you'll have access to the icons at the top of the screen at the main menu and throughout the game. Tabula Rasa adds one that looks like a DNA strand, this give you quick and easy access to the Xenotype editor for creating custom xenotypes, this means not having to go through several screens of starting up a new scenario just to access this screen. This is of course only if you have the Biotech DLC, if not you shouldn't even see the icon.
This mod also does a teeny fix so that mods don't have to tell the game not to make player factions NOT permanently hostile towards the Shattered Empire. It's bizarre they did it the way they did but here we are, instead of patching it for every damn mod this will automatically fix it by auto-adding every player faction to the list of "neutral" factions that can actually have diplomacy with them. There are settings to prevent it on specific player faction types in the case where a faction is intended to be permanently hostile, but in the years since Royalty came out I think only 2-3 mods exist that would fit that and even then it's debateable if it's necessary.
