I added docs to the macros, because I found them the most opaque and confusing. I hope you'll accept this PR because it would have saved me a lot of time getting to know the library. I also ran `rustfmt`, because it runs automatically for me.

Ah dang didn't see #49. It would be great if one of them could be merged. They are large changes but don't have any (or very little) impact on any actual code, so they won't need quite as deep a review. |
