This change introduces a new "ingress" service to MicroCeph, which provides high availability and load balancing for other services in the cluster. It uses keepalived to manage a virtual IP (VIP) and haproxy to load balance TCP traffic.

Features:

  • Enable and disable ingress services with a simple CLI.
  • Support for multiple, independent ingress instances on the same set of hosts.
  • Automatic generation of VRRP password and router ID, simplifying user configuration.
  • Dynamic discovery of backend servers by targeting other MicroCeph services (e.g., nfs.my-cluster).
  • Graceful reloading of the service to apply configuration changes without downtime.

The primary use case is to create a highly available, active-active NFS Ganesha service, but it can be extended to other TCP-based services.

Includes user documentation for setting up an active-active NFS service using the new ingress feature.
