Maintainer triage on March 9, 2026: refused for merge in this cycle and kept open.

Blockers:

  • The patch changes repository governance by allowing multiple release:* labels instead of exactly one.
  • The patch deletes the dedicated Release Label Policy workflow, which changes maintainer enforcement behavior.
  • Governance and workflow-policy changes are outside the normal conservative queue pass and require a separate explicit maintainer policy decision.

Required next step: bring this through a dedicated policy review lane instead of the normal PR queue.
