💡 What: Added comprehensive accessibility enhancements to the DrilldownNavigation component, including semantic HTML structure, dynamic ARIA live regions, explicit ARIA labels, and improved keyboard focus visibility.

🎯 Why: To ensure users relying on screen readers and keyboard navigation can effectively track their current depth and interact with the progressive disclosure pattern without losing context.

Accessibility:

  • Wrapped the breadcrumb list in a <nav aria-label="Breadcrumb">.
  • Applied aria-current="step" to clearly indicate the currently active level.
  • Added aria-live="polite" to the level counter so level changes are announced dynamically without user interruption.
  • Added distinct focus-visible states to all interactive elements to support keyboard users.
  • Hid decorative chevron icons from screen readers using aria-hidden="true".
  • Added explicit aria-labels to the Previous and Next buttons.
