Problem Summary:
When querying Hive tables stored on HDFS, Doris recursively lists all files in the table/partition directories. However, HDFS directories often contain hidden directories (prefixed with
.or_)such as:
.hive-staging_hive_xxx- Hive staging directories_temporary- Spark/MapReduce temporary output directories_SUCCESSmarkers and related directoriesThese hidden directories can contain large amounts of temporary files that:
this commit added a new FE configuration
enable_list_hdfs_files_ignore_hidden_directory(default:true) that enables skipping hidden directories during recursive HDFS file listing.When enabled, the HDFS file listing will use manual directory traversal instead of Hadoop's native recursive listing, allowing us to skip directories whose names start with
