Data engineer by profession; goofy application developer by choice

Pinned are all my little passion projects. Many of them have been in development for years and are in a seemingly continuous state of refactor and revision. As I grow as a developer, I don't expect this to change as I find more ways to optimize, build more features, and just write better code for the things that are of great interest and utility to me.

My path to this point has been unconventional. I hold a BA in sociology, I am self-taught multi-lingual, enjoy traveling the world, and helping to open doors for newcomers to the tech space, just like so many have opened that door for me. My job application tracking app, Refactor, is a machine-local app that helps those seeking employment by making application tracking and follow up easy by sending daily notifications for tried-and-true methods for getting their foot in the door. I am also developing a Python/Django-based flight analytics app for frequent travel enjoyers by tracking airfare price tracking over time, identifying ideal timeframes for booking cheap airfare and suggesting layover options for even greater budget stretching. My newest passion is engineering an ollama-based LLM model into a persistent state prompt AI, also developed from scratch in Python.
