I’m Daman. I work across economics, data science, and applied research.
I recently completed my MA in Economics at the University of Toronto, where I focused on causal inference, machine learning, and applied econometrics. I also contribute to PyFixest, an open-source econometrics library, and work on research replication for the Journal of Political Economy.
Before grad school, I worked in institutional real estate investment, building models and data workflows for capital allocation, market research, and executive decision-making.
I’m interested in hard-to-measure problems: social capital, cities, markets, policy, and the data systems that help people make better decisions.
