Summary of Changes

Hello @yesudeep, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request focuses on modernizing the Google GenAI plugin by integrating the newest generation of Gemini and Gemma models. It ensures that the framework is up-to-date with the latest AI capabilities and that all provided examples reflect these advancements, offering users access to improved performance and features.

Highlights

  • New Model Support: Added comprehensive support for the latest Gemini 3 (Flash and Pro previews), Gemini 2.5 (Pro, Flash, Lite, TTS, and Image variants), and Gemma 3 models within the Google GenAI plugin. This includes new configuration schemas for TTS and Image functionalities.
  • Sample Code Updates: All Python sample applications have been updated to utilize the newly supported, more advanced Gemini models, primarily migrating to gemini-3-flash-preview and gemini-3-pro-preview from older versions.
  • Improved Model Definitions: Introduced generic ModelInfo constants (GENERIC_GEMINI_MODEL, GENERIC_TTS_MODEL, GENERIC_IMAGE_MODEL, GENERIC_GEMMA_MODEL) to better categorize and define the capabilities of various model types.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Code Review

This pull request updates the Gemini model versions used across various Python samples and adds definitions for new models. The changes are largely correct and consistent with the goal of using the latest models. I've provided a couple of suggestions for gemini.py to improve the accuracy of model metadata and enhance maintainability by reducing code duplication.
