Consolidates #63 (python 3.12->3.14-slim) and #66 (node 20->26-slim), and updates the CI matrix to test the same versions the container ships — so CI validates the real runtime rather than a stale one. NOTE: the CI job names change to "Backend (Python 3.14)" / "Frontend (Node 26)". The branch-protection ruleset's required-check names must be updated to match, or this PR (and later ones) will wait forever on the old, now-nonexistent checks. Supersedes #63, #66. Backend (Python 3.12)→Backend (Python 3.14)Frontend (Node 20)→Frontend (Node 26)The old names are your required checks, so until you update the ruleset (Settings → Rules → the ruleset targeting
main→ Require status checks → swap to the new names), this PR will show the old checks as perpetually "Expected" and won't be mergeable. Backend already runs on Python 3.14 locally (the dev venv is 3.14; full suite green).Supersedes and closes #63, #66.
