  • Are there any critical cron jobs or other processes that run in the background to support our DMAC activities? If yes, what are these and why are these set up?

  • Are there any manual activities that need to be performed periodically in the backend? If yes, what are these?

  • As a new scientist with a bunch of data in CSV format, how do I upload it to GLOS so it’s displayed on map?

  • How do I add a new buoy to the DMAC?

  • How do I know whether the information on the IOOS inventory (and monthly RA reports) is correct? How do I update the form?

  • How do I respond to user queries and how do I track them and assign them to appropriate dmac staff?

  • How do I, or can I, download data from GLOS?

  • How do we assist users when they want to pull large amounts of data (working with Thredds and/or point query tool).

  • If we have to redesign our entire system, what are the inter/intra dependencies between the various pieces in the backend that we should be aware of? For example - Thredds and Buoy portal, Buoy portal and Data portal, Buoy/Data portal/Thredds and metadata etc.
