Caddy doesn't need it. I couldn't test with Traefik because Traefik just didn't work, no idea why.

I have the same issue on Caddy for some reason. I don't think this is just an issue with NGINX

Are you sure? Caddy seems to accept huge URI lengths by default. I played a little with the servers.max_header_size directive (https://caddyserver.com/docs/caddyfile/options#max-header-size) just to try and worked fine, I also played with request_body.max_size (https://caddyserver.com/docs/caddyfile/directives/request_body#syntax) and worked fine.
