The solution you used was written 2 years ago, and some dust needed cleaning.

Breaks aren't required in switch statements in PowerShell.
Default values in switch statements are recommended if someone provides an incorrect value.
new-line breaks can be consolidated into the first actual write-host statement for cleanliness.
