NSDateFormatter supports the new 'ZZZZZ' pattern, and that's Apple's recommended pattern for parsing RFC3339. https://developer.apple.com/reference/foundation/nsdateformatter

Parsing was failing for strings like this that I believe should be RFC3339 compatible: "2016-11-29T21:23:37+00:00". The new formatter string succeeds for these. |
