Maintained forks of old versions of NPM packages.
As of March 5, 2026, Glob 7.2.3 has had over 134 million weekly downloads, and Glob version 10.5.0 has had over 50 million. Those two versions of Glob alone make up about 62% of Glob's weekly downloads. Yet the author, isaacs, has deprecated both with the message: Old versions of glob are not supported, and contain widely publicized security vulnerabilities, which have been fixed in the current version. Please update. Support for old versions may be purchased (at exorbitant rates) by contacting i@izs.me. Tap, a package by isaacs, eventually depends on Glob 7.2.3, and Tape, Mocha, and many more very downloaded packages all eventually depend on either of these two versions of Glob. You may ask why not just update to the latest version? There are many reasons: Backwards compatibility, same API, and more. None of us really want to purchase support for old versions, especially at "exorbitant rates", which is why this organization exists.
Our repositories are forks of old versions of NPM packages like Glob that will not receive ANY breaking changes or new features, and will maintain the same level of backwards-compatibility. Some our repositories are forks of packages that are completely deprecated and will never receive any changes, such as inflight.
