I spent a long time thinking about how knowledge actually works: not as retrieval, but as a process of structured contradiction and accumulation. That thinking became Rafetus, which I now build and run.
My other work is in Vietnamese political economy and institutional economics.
Informal competition, product innovation, and process innovation in Vietnam
Examines how the informal sector reshapes innovation incentives among formal firms. Uses enterprise survey data with econometric identification to disentangle selection from treatment effects.
Citizen participation and local economic growth in Vietnam
Analyses the causal relationship between participatory governance mechanisms and sub-national economic performance across Vietnamese provinces.
Rafetus is a monorepo (Next.js 15 · Cloudflare Workers · Supabase) with a Flutter mobile client. The AI subsystem uses context-grounded retrieval (pgvector + RAG) over the user's own knowledge base; third-party model calls are constrained to zero-data-retention providers.
