Dear Friend,
Can you believe it’s been ten years since we were at the Apple conference in San Francisco? I was looking through my old notes from 2016 and found a story about meeting an engineer named Tommy. Back then, our app, A.BIG.T, kept crashing because it ran out of memory—it was like trying to fit a giant suitcase into a tiny locker. I wrote down that after meeting him, we finally "fixed" it.
But looking back, I realize we didn't just fix a bug; we learned how to be better builders. We learned how to look under the hood, find the leaks, and make things run smoothly.
Then, life happened. If you look at our project online, the lights went out in 2018. It’s been silent for a long time, and I’ve always felt a bit bad about leaving that story unfinished.
So, why start again in 2026?
Because technology has changed. I’m starting a "Rebirth Plan" for A.BIG.T, but this time I have a new assistant: AI.
I’m not letting the AI do the thinking for me, but I’m using it to handle the "boring" stuff—writing basic templates, checking for typos in the code, and helping me write manuals. This lets me focus on making sure the app is fast, reliable, and doesn't "break the locker" (run out of memory) ever again.
My goals for the next year are simple:
- In 1 months: Build a robot system that tests the app every day to make sure it’s healthy and fast.
- In 3 months: Have a version ready that can run for three days straight without a single crash, and make it 30% faster than it used to be.
I wanted to share this with you because you were there at the beginning. I don't need you to write code—I just need you to be my friend and keep me honest while I try to bring this old dream back to life.
Thanks for being part of the story, even during the quiet years.
Best,
KONG
- The Past (2016-2018): We worked hard, learned a lot, but then the project went to sleep.
- The Present (2026): Using AI to help me work smarter, not harder.
- The Future: A faster, stronger app that finally works the way we dreamed it would ten years ago.
