| PACK separates _what your app does_ from _where the data lives_. Your application code talks to PACK's APIs. Behind those APIs, you choose the implementation: mock everything locally, or connect to real Foundry services. |

This is over-indexed on the ability for the demo to swap between PACK APIs and the demo BEs. I think in terms of understanding PACK, the only architecture we really care about or support is the Foundry BE.
