This is our general policy explaining that we do not accept output generated by LLM or AI tools. It does not focus on getting such tools to disclose or behave in certain ways, as that appears to be relatively ineffective from discussions with other projects. Instead, it explains for humans why we value human contribution and why such tools detract from that.
I found that I had a lot to write on this, so I split it up in the the main points and then the full explanation. I expect most people will only read the summary, and that should be enough.
The "we close generated PRs on sight" directive remains in the pull request docs, but links to this as well. The contributing index links to this and the CoC since both are relevant to contributions and interactions.
