Hi,
I have just commited the changes mentioned in my mail yesterday (from thgeorge@gmx.de) and hereby initiate a pull-request.
For the directory import to work you will need a file explorer able to return a directory Uri, not just a File Uri. I used "OI File Manager" (German: "OI Dateimanager") for this.
