By using upperstr on PDB lines containing nucleotide atoms information, identity of the chain was changed when it was named in lowercase. It especially was a problem when PDB contained information about chains named with same letter, just distinguished by lower/uppercase. I made a similar function to upperstr that checks if the function is at the position of chainID information and if true, then skips changing of the letter. I never made a pull request before, so apologies if I made some mistake.
