this mod is still in development and the following text may describe features not yet implemented, please interpret this as development plan if anything
Is a Minecraft mod that adds well cleverly implemented computers into the Minecraft world capable of running custom scripts and interacting with the world around them. The mod includes a emphasis on making computers feel well integrated into the world visualy and mechanically
The ingame computers simulate events, lua scripts, peripheral devices, full files systems (with OS's plural that can be edited live), complete Computer Craft compatibility (as of now peripherals kinda work, craft os emulation soon), pixel graphics, HTTPS (soon), and full documentation
This section answers why this mod was made and why i think its a improvment over prexisting computer mods
If you're coming from pre-existing lua scripting mods like Computer Craft or Open Computers I will explain why this mod exists with those mods as a reference point. For a long time, I (the lead developer) have been a huge fan of Computer Craft (or CC for short), but frustrated with how it implements its features, until I decided making my own mod was worth a shot! I think that Open Computers (OC) is too complex for its own good, and incredibly unintuitive to non-dev players, this complexity also keeps it locked in late versions of Forge which I find unfortunate. As for CC it's simple to the point of hurting itself at points, with odd arbitrary restrictions and (in my opinion), suffering from large amounts of technical debt making expanding the mod harder for its lead developer. Of course I still love CC and OC (altho i never really used OC), CC provided years of happy memories and this mod is my take on improving that CC and OC laid the tracks for.
If your coming from factory mods NEET computers will (in the future) be a capible way to make smarter factories, distribute items with less jank, time out processes, sort items, and autocraft (more info coming whenever i get that far)
If your coming from aesthetic computer mods or non-technical modding, NEET computers provides a few fun tech demos and the possibility of goofing off or added computers as interactive furniture, but not much more without learning basic scripting)
TODO (look at the docs to get a reference until i have some showcase demos)
