My academic background is in sustainable agriculture (agroecology). I wanted to pursue a career in international development but an animal feed project in 2015 in Tigray, Ethiopia directed me to the tech industry instead. I couldn't get the trust of the farmer but the farmer's smartphone sure did, and fast.

I used to design my own websites including blogs, portfolios, tutorial sites, and message boards when I was a 12, 13, 14 year old just playing with PaintShopPro and AdobePS for teaching myself graphic design on neopets.com.
