  • Controller has different VID/PID depending on both connection type (Cable vs Wireless adapter) as well as "Mode" (PS5, PS4, PC)
    • Only the "PS4 Mode USB" and "PS4 Mode Wireless" VID/PID were added since I don't see any reason to add the VID/PID for PS5 mode Added wired and wireless PS5 modes because "why not?"
  • Controller does not report its battery, NoBatteryReading flag was enabled
  • Apparently gyro calibration works?
    • I don't know how to properly test it but I asked the user who has the controller to try the gyro callibration button in the profile editor and see if the "gree sphere" would blink for a few seconds and then stop. They did that and it worked as normal, no error messages, nothing exploded, so I hope it's ok
  • Lightbar, rumble and touchpad work as expected
    • Lightbar does not work properly in wireless DS4 Mode, requiring the "copycat" device option to be enabled so DS4Windows stops sending "flash" commands

This might actually require more work.

In DS4 Wireless mode the Lightbar doesn't respond properly.

I believe it's because if the Flash Flag is enabled in the output report but FlashDurationOn and FlashDurationOff are "0" then the controller just ignores the new light color, but it will require more testing.

This can be workarounded by enabling the "copycat" flag in the Device Options for the controller, which force-disable the FlashFlag and then makes the Lightbar work, but I'm thinking if a more definitive solution would be possible without feeling like duct tape

I still couldn't pinpoint the exact issue with the PS4 Mode Wireless not responding properly to the lightbar instructions. I know it's related to the flash commands in the output report but because I don't have the controller it's making difficult to test.

Regardless, the controller works as expected if just enabling the "copycat" device flag (which fully disabled the flash feature).

For now this will be the workaround

I'm also adding the DualSense mode VID/PID when wired and wireless since it works as expected so no reason not to
