That "Anywhere on Earth" link is more confusing than worthwhile, IMO.

Thanks, you're right. The important bit is that we consider PRs that were submitted on that date, anywhere from earth. We don't need to precisely communicate this to applicants.

I decided to push the date by a few days to Monday, March 16.

1. I reviewed notes from the GSoC meeting where they said it is okay to stop considering applicants after some point, and specifically what they wrote is:

   For the current application period, people who have not contacted the organization between February 19th and March 16th are very unlikely to be selected for the program, which serves as an initial filter for overwhelming volumes of applicants.

2. March 16th is already a well-announced date in the GSoC timeline and mentioned in our blog post.
3. Pushing to a Monday gives prospective applicants one more weekend of opportunity to do the onboarding, since many will be busy with school during the weekday.
