Sorry for the late response. Honestly I feel like a fork is more appropriate (since this basically implements the component in a different language/react api target).

@rloomba spent couple of hours changing it over to es6 syntax with classes found your es6 code afterwards. :) |

Not sure if a PR is appropriate...but had to tweak a couple things to get this working with ES6 classes
