Overview

DAF 6.3 continues the evolution of the Digital Architecture Framework. This release focuses on making DAF easier to integrate, extend, and automate through new standard-based interfaces and updated documentation.

Fully updated reference documentation (DAF 6.3) with extended explanations of concepts, relationships, and validation rules.

DAF MDG Technology for Enterprise Architect

• Updated MDG technology package for Sparx Enterprise Architect, including the full DAF 6.3 metamodel.
• Enhanced toolboxes and diagram patterns for Enterprise, Solution, and Design architecture layers.
• Updated validation rules and model checks for consistency, traceability, and compliance.
• Improved color coding and iconography for clarity across viewpoints.

Digital Architecture Framework – JSON

Introduction of a JSON-based representation of the entire DAF metamodel.
Enables integration with external modeling tools, APIs, and AI-driven automation pipelines.

DAF as OpenAPI

DAF 6.3 can now be exposed as an OpenAPI specification, allowing model-driven services to interact programmatically with DAF repositories. Supports querying and updating architecture elements through standard REST endpoints.
Opens the path for DAF-based automation in CI/CD pipelines, Digital Twin synchronization, and AI-based reasoning engines.
