First Tasks
Match 2018 elections to existing shapefile
Significance
What do we know about the impacts of gerrymandering in this state, is it a high or low risk state?
Who do we need to contact?
Is there a statewide office that should have the data? Are we more likely to have to fall back to counties? (Please refrain from listing specific contact details here as we'll track those on https://OpenPrecincts.org)
Existing data? Partners?
Shapefiles can be found on state website and election results can be requested here for a fee or taken from OpenElections.
MGGG has prepared a 2016 shapefile with matched 2016 election data
Voter Roll
PGP has geocoded UT voter roll and is using it to match 2018 election results
