Opera setup

Sadly, Opera is not "speed dial friendly" browser :(

• Opera doesn't allow extensions to override New tab page
• all speed dials has been removed from Opera store years ago

This is because they make money from users clicking the affiliate links on their default New tab page.

Workaround

I've implemented a special option for Opera users, that allows you to "override" Opera default New tab page.
You can find it in the Options page / General tab:

However... :(

This won't work well, as Opera won't clear the address bar when you open dials page:

This means, you can't simply open New tab and start typing to search!
You will have press either:

• Ctrl + A
• Ctrl + L
• F8

(all of these will select text in the address bar, and as you start typing, it will disappear)

🧩 Alternatively, use a different browser

If you are not specially attached to Opera, it may be better to switch to Firefox, Edge, or one of the less restricted Chromium browsers, like Chrome, Vivaldi or Brave.
You can then install my Group Speed Dial from these stores:

• Firefox Add-ons store
• Edge Add-ons store
• Chrome Web Store (also for Brave and Vivaldi)
