FYI I have a collection of changes to the VCU that I'm working on which will allow it to update safely to the latest libopeninv. It'll be a few days at most before I am in a position to raise a PR. |

You could also look at the MAX13487. It is a RS485 transceiver with automatic direction switching. That should speed up your link and make it more resilient because differential |

Add the ability have the Terminal reject fastuart requests.
This is based on the current version used by stm32-vcu:Vehicle_Testing so I can use it there and not have to pull in these other changes to the master branch.
