Solves #243
This PR fixes only documentation and does not introduce any behavior change.
But I think the current effective gap detection default time (up to 500 μs) is too low. So I made another variant of this PR (#263), which also fixes default times, bringing them to the intended default ones (up to 500 ms).
Please merge the variant is beast suited: I suggest for #263, but if you think changing the effective defaults is too risky, then go for #262.
