Common questions about AntiLink - setup, protection, privacy, permissions, Premium, and troubleshooting.

Yes. AntiLink Basic is free forever: it blocks Discord invites and external links, logs removals, and includes small whitelists. Paid plans (AntiLink Plus and AntiLink Premium) remove the limits and add the security suite.
Invite the bot, approve the permissions, then run
/setup or open the dashboard. The full walkthrough
is in the Setup Guide.
Two ways: /setup and /config in Discord, or the
web dashboard. Both write the same settings.
Check, in order:
- Protection is enabled (
/configor the dashboard Overview). - You are not testing as an admin - owners, admins, and whitelisted users are exempt. Test with a normal account.
- The author/role/channel/category isn't whitelisted.
- The bot has Manage Messages in that channel (the Overview flags missing perms).
- The link type is being blocked (invites vs external).
The full guide is on the Troubleshooting page.
Whitelist its domain: /whitelist add type:url target:example.com or the
dashboard Whitelist tab.
They shouldn't - AntiLink only acts on links in message text, not uploads. If a message has both a link and a file, only the link triggers removal.
Delete removes the message. Quarantine removes it and applies your mute role for review. Warn logs a warning and escalates repeat offenders. See How protection works.
Yes. Whitelist a channel or category to exempt it, or whitelist a role so trusted members can post links anywhere. Everything else stays protected.
It scans message content for links to moderate them. It does not store your messages. When a message is removed, a moderation log entry (user, channel, reason, the detected link) is recorded for the dashboard's activity view.
Core link protection uses only the Message Content intent. The optional Server Members intent is used only for Member Defense join-time raid detection, and only when you enable that feature. AntiLink never uses the Presence intent.
At minimum: View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links, Read Message History, and Manage Messages (to remove links). For enforcement actions it also needs Manage Roles (quarantine), Moderate Members (timeouts), and Kick/Ban Members.
Yes. AntiLink is a verified bot and its domains are cleared by Google Safe Browsing. It will never DM you for a password, token, or payment. See Security & Trust.
Basic (free) covers core link and invite blocking with small whitelists. AntiLink Plus adds unlimited whitelists, all whitelist types, protection toggles, and enforcement modes. AntiLink Premium adds the full security suite (Member Defense, Honeypot, Emergency Lockdown) plus your own custom bot. See the plans page.
Checkout is handled by Paddle from the dashboard: open your server's Premium tab, pick a plan, and pay securely. Your plan activates automatically once payment succeeds - no code needed. A support-issued redeem code is the manual alternative.
Refunds follow our Refund Policy. You can cancel anytime from the dashboard to stop future charges.
A white-label AntiLink that runs under your own name, avatar, banner, and status. It is included with AntiLink Premium and hosted by us. See the Custom Bot guide.
They apply within seconds (the dashboard refreshes the bot's cache on save). If the bot was offline, changes apply once it's back, or within about five minutes. A stale "Failed to find Server Action" message is fixed with a hard refresh.
The most common cause is testing as an exempt admin, or a Premium-gated option being off. See Troubleshooting for the full checklist.
Open the dashboard Logs & Activity view: Protection Logs (removals), Mod Actions (member actions), Audit Log (config changes), and Appeals. See Logs & Activity.
